To Start off the crochet journey, we are going to make reusable cotton rounds!
Crocheting is one of my top 3 favorite crafting hobbies! I have a hard time having the patience to follow a pattern though. That being said, I have crocheted about a million washcloths. I enjoy the relaxing monotony of the basic single crochet.
To mix things up from washcloth creation, I started making these reusable “cotton rounds”. You can make them circular, but I prefer making the mini squares. I found a little glass jar at Dollar Tree and used that to determine the size of my project. From there, I mark the end of each row with a stitch marker so I don’t have to count stitches. I make rows until I have completed a square.
Crocheting doesn’t have to be complicated. Once you get down a basic single crochet, there is so much you can do. You can easily crochet while you’re watching a movie or chatting with friends. One of my favorite things about crochet is how easy it is to take with my on an airplane, train trip, or road trip.
Every month, we are going to do a new crochet project that will challenge we to get out of my comfort zone and give you all something new to try. Do you already know how to crochet? Is it something you’re interested in learning?
