Imperfect Art Journal Week 2!

Welcome back to our weekly Imperfect Art Journal post! We are going to continue with keeping our medium of art simple as a reminder, you don’t need to spend a lot to be creative.

I have been following Tim Maxwell for a while now and am mesmerized by the work he does. It is simple, yet detailed and has so much depth. We are going to take inspiration from his work from September 2018 pictured on the left.

I used a black ballpoint pen, but any pen should work and recreated just the top square portion of the pictured image since my sketch book is square. This was so much harder than Maxwell makes it look and I was using a much smaller canvas! Drawing that long of a straight line is a very difficult task that takes a steady hand. What matters though is I enjoyed the process and finding a way to adapt it to my skill level.
