The Beautiful Blood Moon

The Beautiful Blood Moon
Are you happy with your life?
Are you happy with who you are?
Do you wish you were happier?

Welcome to the launch of The Journey to Happiness blog! One simple way to become a happier person is to appreciate the little things in life. Every Monday, I am going to highlight something positive you can focus on that doesn’t take a lot of time or money.

Nature has so many wonderful things to offer. We are going to start out with a phenomenon that only happens a few times a decade (according to Google AI) that we were lucky enough to experience last week, the Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse. The Blood moon is such a unique and beautiful part of our universe. Definitely something worth appreciating!

You may be thinking that staying up until 2:30am e.s.t. was unattainable and there was no way for you to appreciate the beauty of the eclipse and still function at work the next day or wake up with your kids at 6am. Even if you weren’t able to stay up to view it or you couldn’t see it from your house, we can appreciate the people who took the time to take pictures and video for us to view and enjoy. There is a range of images and videos available from amateur to professional quality. Thanks to how connected the world is, enjoying a natural phenomenon you weren’t able to witness yourself is far more attainable!

I personally enjoyed the challenge of staying up late enough to attempt a Timelapse. Even though my Timelapse wasn’t taken on a super high quality camera, and there was a lot of light pollution impacting the clarity of my view, I was still able to appreciate  the beauty of the Blood Moon and capture a memory!

I am not, and do not claim to be an expert on the Blood Moon. Here is a link to a NASA article if you are interested in a quick read of the actual science of the blood moon lunar eclipse.

Let me know in the comments if you were able to see the blood moon and if you tried your hand at photography or videography to capture the memory!
